The area in and around Carlisle is extremely pretty and has a huge array of activities and sights to interest everyone who visits the area. Carlisle itself is a very pretty and historic city which provides a huge pedestrianised city centre which has many shops, cafes, pubs, bars and clubs. There are bus and train stations near by which can be used to easily access the surrounding area. The city has a huge amount of history hosting a medieval castle, cathedral, citadel and many other buildings that have been standing for centuries.
