Environmental Stewardship

There are currently four strands to Natural England's Environmental Stewardship Scheme, all supply useful additional income. The wide majority of farmers will find one of the four strands suitable for their land. The finest one for you'll be determined by your current farm practice, the kind of land you have and your plans for the future. Scheme payments are made twice a year at six monthly intervals. Is suitable for almost everyone and pays J30/ha over the entire farm in return for adopting or maintaining low intensity practices on selected fields.
