read moreEast West Catering, established in 1988, was originally set up as a women's co-operative, after a group of housewives seeking independence ventured into a business together, hoping for an improved lifestyle for themselves and their families. It all commenced in an industrial factory known as Ryburn mills, in which we supplied fresh hot food to the factory workers. This was ideal given the cold British climate and encouraged the women to let their cultural roots unfold into mouth watering meals.

Indian cuisine is our heartland and its success is centred on getting the right balance of spices and flavours. Creating Indian food is a fine art, a skill passed down from generation to generation. Were very fortunate to have some of the best Indian born and bred chefs around. Cooking is their passion and they share this passion every day with dishes they prepare for our customers and consumers.

Our goal is to ensure that our customers get an excellent authentic product, every time. We use authentic ingredients of the finest quality sourced from approved and (were possible) local suppliers who conform to our rigid standards. We have made major investment in infrastructure and production facilities in Halifax. In our manufacturing plant raw ingredients and cooked foods are kept separate; production staff are also segregated.
