read moreOne of the most common repairs we carry out is the re-connecting/ re-soldering of broken power sockets / dc jacks. We can repair loose sockets, sockets with broken centre pins, even dc jacks that have completely snapped off. The only permanent fix for a broken HDMI is to replace the port completely. They are soldered on to the board with 4 main pins and lots of solder, then they have 19 small pins that have to be soldered on to solder pads on the motherboard. If you think your port is broken DO NOT keep forcing the HDMI cable in to try and make a connection.
