Albany Computer Services was established in February 1996. We became a ltd Company in May 2006. We're situated 1 mile from Junction 34 of the M1 on the outskirts of Rotherham. This happens to be the main junction for the Meadowhall Shopping Center, and was the home of the Tinsley towers, now demolished. Our services are aimed towards the tiny to mid-sized enterprises and home users throughout the Yorkshire region. We provide a complete array of technical and practical services, from provide and installation of pc and networking equipment to support and maintenance.

A company purports to be either Microsoft or a Microsoft Partner and then tells you the customer that they have been informed that your computer is infected with a virus and running slow. They then ask you to go to your computer and they can show you proof by accessing the "event log" which would normally contain errors. The errors they claim are virus related and your computer needs to be cleaned.

read moreFor workshop repairs we offer a "No fix, No fee" service with fixed labour charges dependent on the fault. Labour charges from 15 to 45 (excludes data backup). All our work is guaranteed with turnaround times varying dependent on the type of fault. We always quote if hardware has failed so you can decide if we should replace the faulty parts or not. If you choose not to go ahead with the repair, we charge a small 15 fee for diagnostics. Onsite repairs (In home or business) incur an hourly rate payable on completion.
