read moreConstant Engineering, based at Oldham in Greater Manchester, was established by Harry and Richard Garlick, father and son, to meet the demand of sheet metal supply. After seeing a niche in the market Richard decided to utilise off-cuts of the metal sheets as kick-plates and finger plates and sell to existing customers and local businesses. From there Constant Engineering released its first brochure of architectural ironmongery products in 1977, and went on a journey to becoming one of the largest manufacturers of products to the trade, building, commercial and industrial sectors to-date.
