Colin Bruton Friendly Toastmaster
read moreI thought I would try and explain via the videos below; as well as through the various pages on this website. Using the services of a Professional Toastmaster isn't about wanting to be overly formal or stuffy; it is about wanting somebody on your side, there to help ensure the smooth running of your function, event or wedding. A good Toastmaster is a master of ceremonies (making all and any announcements needed; using the correct Protocols and Etiquettes when necessary). If you have any questions at all, or would prefer to talk to me directly, please give me a call on 07980 014545; where you will be assured of a warm welcome at all times.
Toastmaster & Master of Ceremony
read moreColin is a crucial part of an event. He consults and advises with the hosts on every aspect of the day and agrees all necessary timings, procedures and requests. Colin advises on etiquette, ceremonial precedence and correct forms of address (if needed or wanted); but all in a modern and non pretentious manner. As one of the friendliest professional toastmasters in the country, Colin gives advice on etiquette and protocol to ensure your event, function or wedding is a great success. The following functions can be more formal where understanding the protocols and etiquettes needed is essential.
English Wedding Toastmaster
read moreI would normally meet the happy couple and (sometimes your families if you wish) a couple of months prior to your special day and run through all the details with you; from experience I find this is best done at the venue if possible. Out of professional courtesy I always phone the venue/caterer and your photographer before the day, to introduce myself and to double check that we are all working as one. This is especially important regarding your photographer, for they are key to all timings. On your wedding day itself, I will be very friendly and super attentive to everybody's needs and ensure the formal procedures (if wanted), such as the photographs, receiving line, announcement of the parents and happy couple into the room, the cutting of the cake, introduction of the speeches (and supporting the person who is giving a speech), the first dance and the throwing of the bouquet are all delivered with warmth, dignity and with a smile upon my face.
