Clifton Community Church
read moreWe believe in Spirit-filled worship. Our Sunday morning worship times include spontaneous moments and opportunity for the expression of gifts of the Spirit. We don't have a standard order of. Unfortunately during the present health crisis we cannot meet together on Sundays in person. We are therefore 'meeting' online using the Zoom app/website. Glad you have dropped into our site. Clifton is a community of people who have found that Jesus is not just a fictional comic book character. Rather, as we have put Him at the centre of our lives, we have found Him walking alongside us through the ups and downs of life.
About Us
read moreThe church started in 1980. During the 60s and 70s, in many places, people started meeting in homes in what became known as House Fellowships. The people who met together were committed to seeing God move in their lives in fresh ways. They also enjoyed good fellowship and friendship with each other. The church grew so our building was purchased in July 1986. A major building programme took place, which added an extra floor and provided additional rooms. Most people realise that it is very difficult to put the Christian faith into an exact set of words which everyone is happy with.
Our Team
read morePaul and Christine moved to Worthing in 2016 at the invitation of the church. Paul had been a pastor since 1994, most latterly of the River Church, Orpington. They love being involved with people and have a particular desire to see people fulfil their God-given calling. They have been married for 40 years and have 3 sons, all of whom are serving in their churches, and 7 grandchildren. Jenny is a deacon at CCC and has served as part of the church since it was started. She worked as a nurse and is a dedicated church member, she also helps to run several after school clubs.
Services
read moreWe believe in Spirit-filled worship. Our Sunday morning worship times include spontaneous moments and opportunity for the expression of gifts of the Spirit. We don't have a standard order of service. There will be songs, there will be prayer but there can also be Scripture quotes or testimonies or words and pictures that God has put on people's hearts. A member of the ministry team will lead the meeting and the worship team will help to lead and start songs but everyone is able to participate. While the children are in their groups the sermon will be preached.
