The GTUK has been around in one guise or another since the early 1980's. Formally a member of the GTF, we went back to the roots of Taekwon-Do in 2001 affiliating to the International Taekwon-Do Federation under Grand Master Choi, Jung Hwa IX, the son of the late founder of Taekwon-Do, General Choi, Hong Hi. The president and founder of the GTUK is Master Roy Oldham VIII who has been studying Taekwon-Do for over thirty five years and his instructor was Grand Master Rhee, Ki Ha, the father of British Taekwon-Do. Master Oldham was one of the 1st 12 black belts from the UK.

read moreDevelopment Squad Training is open to students 8 years and over capable of training for the full 3 hour session, and have the permission of their instructor! We suggest green belt and above for children however younger and lower grades at the discretion of instructors and coaches. ALL students MUST have full safety equipment to be able to train, and must bring plenty of water. We MUST see in date GTUK/BTC membership. The GTUK is a member of the British Taekwondo Council, the National Governing Body for Taekwondo.
