Canterbury House is a family owned business set up in 1935 by John & Adeline Holgate who opened a tiny watch repair and jewellery business that gradually grew in size. Adeline's son Richard joined the business in 1969 expanding the premises and extending the product selection to incorporate a selection of highly known brands of fine china and giftware.

Both machine and hand engraving services are available in store enabling you to customise your gits and keepsakes. And if you're looking for originality, we also offer a bespoke design service where you can select the diamonds or precious stones of your choice and have your jewellery piece tailor made to personal specifications. Jewellery remodelling, pearl re-threading and ring sizing services are also available.
