Over the years the practice has undergone several transformations to become what is now known as Cambridge Veterinary Group. In August 2012 John sold the practice to Lucy Crosby, who has been working as a veterinary surgeon at Cambridge Veterinary Group since 2007. We are a small animal practice with a special interest in exotic species and have vivariums and heated bird cages to cater for these species.

read moreOver the years, Cambridge Veterinary Group has gained a reputation for treating exotic species. Many of the vets here have an interest in exotics and are happy to see a wide variety of pets from tortoises to parrots to snakes and lizards as well as all manner of small mammals. Our nurses are highly trained to handle these species and we have special vivaria and heated/ventilated bird cages to accommodate them should they need to spend time in the hospital. We are happy to run faecal checks, take blood samples, radiographs, perform ultrasound, endoscopy and surgery on many species, and can offer advanced care and procedures due to having Certificate holders in both Zoo and Wildlife Medicine (Mikel) and Diagnostic Imaging (Emma).

read moreEmergency care for our patients is provided by Vet24, a practice dedicated to providing emergency treatment for sick animals outside of normal working hours. There is a vet and nurse on-site to offer phone advice or to see your pet if appropriate. The Vet24 team only work the out-of-hours shift and are therefore fresh and ready to offer assistance to concerned owners. You will be seen at either their Milton branch or their Whittlesford branch. Please be aware that Vet24 only provide emergency treatment.
