read moreBruce Cottage is situated just a couple of minutes outside the picturesque Nidderdale town of Pateley Bridge. Pateley Bridge lies on the B6265 between Grassington and Ripon, and north of the A59 between Skipton and Harrogate. The Cottage itself is on the right hand side as you drive out of Pateley Bridge in the direction of Wath. With the cottage being set back from and above this quiet country lane, the cottage offers spectacular views across Nidderdale. The waters of Gouthwaite Reservoir have drawn birdwatchers to its shores for many years to see waders, gulls and migratory birds passing through. There have been sightings of Ospreys, Goshawk and Buzzards. The attractive town of Pateley Bridge offers a variety of specialist shops, including an excellent bakery and butchers, as well as tea rooms and the oldest sweet shop in Britain!
