Typically prototypes go up to five revisions. Much of our prototype work is destined for specialist applications and conversions for vehicles. However we undertake prototypes in all fields of industry. Because of our experience we can provide valuable assistance throughout with regards to design for manufacture and cost reduction in order to address future high volume production efficiency issues.

read moreOur Soco SB-51x4A-2S CNC tube bending machine capable of putting precision bends into 2 (38.1mm) diameter components with a high bending accuracy (0.1 degree) and is equipped with a full CNC control unit with touch screen. Suitable for steel, stainless steel, aluminium, and copper tube bending. Whilst out machine is set up primarily for our own in-house sub-contract work, we have plenty of spare capacity for small to medium batch work for new customers. A series Pipe Benders combined with 3 - 4 electric CNC axis, multiple pipe bending stacks and the Advanced DGT technology, the A series tube benders ( Pipe Bending Machine ) can offer the highest performance solutions, bringing accuracy, flexibility and high production.

read moreWe offer high speed CNC laser cutting using fiber technology and direct programming capability from 3D modelling files. We undertake both fine limit and heavy gauge sheet metal forming as well as sheet rolling. We offer full welding shop services for TIG, MIG, Ferrous, Non-Ferrous and Spot Welding with appropriate filler wire and shielding gasses stored on site for all operations. The Soco RC50NC NC tube bending machine capable of putting 8 bends into a 2 (50.8mm) diameter component with a high bending accuracy (0.1 degree) and an NC control unit with touch screen.

read moreInspection routines can be carried out to customer specification with standard full inspections carried out on first, middle and last batches. Both full and part batch inspection routines are available. Dimensional inspection reports can be carried out and made available where required. Process control inspection is carried out on all fabrications to check and confirm weld quality and weld presence as well as to determine that all parts are in place such as brackets, plates and fixtures. To coordinate quality control and inspection we have a dedicated full time quality inspector who is responsible for undertaking batch inspections, coordinating reporting and management of inspection equipment.

read moreAs well as our inhouse machining capability at the Moreton Park site we have recently acquired a dedicated machine shop on the Dunstable Road in Luton which allows us to offer full subcontract conventional machining services. Our highly skilled engineers are are fully equipped to machine precision components in a range of materials. This component, machined in mild steel and finished with a zinc plating is part of a gas conversion unit being prototyped for a local car manufacturer. A wide range of tapping and thread cutting can be undertaken to include standard metric and imperial sizes as well as specialist applications such as bespoke square acme threads.
