Baker Press ltd took over the founded Ferring Offset Litho ltd in 2004 in order to continue serving the local community. The Directors are Ann and Evert Baker. Evert was brought up in a printing family and qualified as a printer at the London College of Printing in 1980. From then on he worked closely with clients in the family business until setting up on his own. Ann Baker has brought her experience and expertise of marketing, public relations and client care to the firm.

For short run colour work (anything up to 1000 A4 or 2000 A5) we have a state-of-the-art Konica Minolta bizhub pro Digital Printer. This is ideal for printing full colour leaflets, brochures, menus, or just about anything that requires a quick turnaround. Conventional Litho presses handle the higher volume jobs such as invoice books, envelope overprinting, or single colour work.

read moreWe can produce your book from your basic text document, add photographs and illustrations where required and any graphics that are required to enhance the cover. Run lengths can be short and from as few as ten, without the expense of plates as we can print digital. This also allows you to have a reprint at a later date at a very reasonable price. Our unique Digital Books are designed in-house from your text and photographs and printed on quality paper, ensuring no show-through. Books can vary in thickness and are dependent on the number of pages within it.

read moreAlthough we can handle a number of different file formats it will be helpful if you follow these guidelines to ensure your job proceeds quickly. We can accept standard data CDs and DVDs as well as USB Memory or Pen sticks. Files up to 10Mb can usually be emailed to us but this will depend on your internet service provider's mailbox limitations. There are a number of online file transfer services available and most of them offer a free service with the creation of an account. DropBox, WeTransfer and MailBigFile are some of the more popular services.
