Fire Response
read moreFire Alarm Systems can be connected to an alarm receiving centre (ARC) to provide keyholder and on some systems obtain Fire Brigade Response. Argus Fire and Security currently install and maintain many of these systems across the UK, all our work is carried out in conjunction with the Fire Reform Order 2005 and the new British Standard BS5839:2013. Older systems conform the previous standard BS5839:2002, and in some cases BS5839:1998.

Chairman: Roger Wood with Managing Director: Mark Pritchard, Sales Director: Stephen Leigh, Office Manager: Sandra Finch. Our Service Department is available 24/7. Gemma, Kayleigh, and Susan from our daytime response team, are available for your assistance from 08:30-17:00. Out of hours, calls are answered by our Alarm Receiving Centre call handling service. Kate works in our sales department providing our customers with detailed specifications and plans for their systems.

Access Control Wigan

All our work is carried out in accordance with the latest code of practice NCP109. NCP109 was updated in September 2013 to take into account the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) and the Equalities Act 2012. All access control systems are now required to be graded in a similar way to Intruder Alarms, grade 1 being the lowest through to grade 4 which is the highest. However, unlike Alarms each door can be graded separately.
