Products & Services
Roof repairs in Croydon
read moreWhen a roof develops a leak, we investigate where the water is entering before undertaking repairs. Patrick photographs the fault and explains what has been found before removing or replacing any tiles. Our work includes replacing damaged slates and tiles, securing ridge tiles again and tracing leaks that may be hidden by water travelling along roof timbers. We also recognise that older roofs may lack an underlying membrane.Roof replacement and re-roofing in Croydon
read moreIf your roof continues to develop problems despite repeated repairs, we can assess whether a full replacement is the more appropriate option. Patrick inspects the covering and underlying structure, records the findings in photographs and explains the condition of the roof before recommending work. Our quotation provides a single fixed figure in writing, with no additional hidden fees. We remove the existing materials, examine the timbers, install the new roofing system, clear the site and accept payment upon completion.Flat roof repairs in Croydon
read moreWe offer a straightforward solution for flat roof leaks, combining a thorough inspection with repairs suited to the existing roofing system. By checking the ceiling, roof covering, upstands, outlets and trims, we establish where the water is getting in and show you the findings through photographs. Our work can include patching felt, repairing rubber membranes, restoring GRP laminations and replacing wet decking, with payment made after completion.New roofs in Croydon
read moreWe provide complete new roof installations, replacing worn coverings with durable materials designed to last. Every roof replacement we undertake includes a guarantee of at least 10 years, extending to 20 years depending on the project. Before work begins, we photograph our findings and agree a comprehensive price covering materials, labour, scaffolding and waste removal, with payment due upon completion.Emergency roof repairs in Croydon
read moreOur emergency roof repair service focuses on resolving urgent damage and preventing rainwater from entering your property. After you explain the situation, Patrick attends to inspect the roof and establish what needs attention. We provide photographs so you can see the damage and retain evidence for your insurer. The price is confirmed before work starts, and any repairs requiring suitable weather or additional materials are preceded by measures to make the roof watertight.Roof damage and leak repairs in Croydon
read moreOur service focuses on restoring damaged roofing by resolving faults that may otherwise allow water to enter beneath the tiles. Frost, age and foot traffic during aerial installations can all cause tiles to crack. We also put right worn felt, loose ridges and inadequate earlier repairs. Patrick photographs the damage, explains the underlying problem and agrees the price in advance.New guttering and downpipes in Croydon
read moreWe undertake new gutter installations using durable uPVC gutters and downpipes, with half-round, square and ogee profiles available to meet different property styles and drainage needs. Our team assesses the existing fascia boards, measures each section and identifies any preliminary work required. You choose the preferred design before we confirm the price and order the materials. After removing the old system, we fit the new components, verify water flow throughout and leave the surrounding paths and drive clear. Each installation benefits from a 10-year guarantee, extendable to 20 years depending on the job.Chimney repairs in Croydon
read moreWe tackle chimney defects that can allow rainwater into the stack and the rooms below. Our work includes renewing cracked mortar caps, rebedding unstable pots, fitting suitable cowls, repointing eroded brickwork and replacing damaged lead flashing. Patrick inspects and photographs the chimney from every side, identifies the problem and provides an agreed price before undertaking any repairs. Payment is made on completion.Slate roofing in Croydon
read moreApex undertakes the repair and replacement of slate roofs on Victorian terraces and villas in Croydon and Streatham. Customers can choose between natural slate and slate-effect materials to address ageing roofs, damaged slates and leaks around valleys. Where individual slates hang below their neighbours, the fixings may have failed even if the stone remains intact. Payment follows completion and cleaning of the site.Tiled roofs in Croydon
read moreAt Apex, we undertake tiled roof repairs and replacements, from concrete interlocking re-roofs on 1930s semi-detached homes to maintenance of clay plain tiles. Porous concrete tiles require careful assessment, so we offer a roof survey followed by a complimentary written estimate with no commitment required. Once the surface coating disappears, rainwater penetrates the exposed material, moss develops and frost may split the weakened tiles.EPDM rubber roofing in Croydon
read moreWe install flexible EPDM rubber roofing to address common flat-roof problems, including splitting felt, leaking seams, standing water and coverings deteriorated by sunlight. Firestone RubberCover provides a continuous membrane for most domestic roofs, while optional PIR insulation can improve comfort in the room beneath. Before ordering materials, we inspect the roof and confirm the full cost, including any required deck replacement. Our work is guaranteed for 10 years, with guarantees of up to 20 years available depending on the installation.GRP fibreglass roofing in Croydon
read moreWhen an existing felt roof has repeatedly failed, our GRP fibreglass system offers a durable alternative with a rigid, continuous finish. We assess the condition of the roof, establish a suitable installation plan and confirm the cost in advance. The work involves preparing the deck, fitting GRP trims, applying resin and glass mat, and finishing the cured surface with a coloured topcoat.Torch-on felt flat roofing in Croydon
read moreWe specialise in felt roofing for extensions, garages and dormers, applying torch-on felt with a mineral cap sheet. Before you agree to any work, Patrick shows you photographs documenting every split in your roof covering. Sun and frost can leave old felt dry and cracked, while blisters containing trapped air or water may split and create a direct route for rain to reach the deck.Fascias and soffits in Croydon
read moreWe combine careful roofline inspections with practical replacement work to help maintain the condition of your fascias, soffits and guttering. Every board is checked, and photographs show where rot has developed, enabling us to recommend only the necessary replacements. After agreeing the price, our team removes the existing boards and gutters, repairs any affected rafter ends, fits uPVC fascias and ventilated soffits, and reinstalls the guttering on new brackets. Payment is made when the job is complete.Lead flashing in Croydon
read moreOur lead flashing service addresses leaks caused by deteriorating joints, cracked folds and displaced lead around chimneys and walls. Patrick supplies photographs of the existing lead before any agreement, allowing you to see the problem clearly. Where replacement is necessary, we install code 4 lead with properly fitted step flashing, a front apron and a back gutter, finishing the joints with lead seal.Chimney repointing in Croydon
read moreOur repointing service addresses deteriorating mortar in chimney stacks and brick walls, helping maintain the protection of the brickwork against rain. We rake out the existing joints and refill them with fresh mortar that matches the bricks. With more than 30 years in the trade, Apex offers free quotations using photographs. Guarantees are provided for 10 years, with extensions to 20 years depending on the job.Gutter repairs in Croydon
read moreWe offer dependable repairs for gutters affected by leaking joints, standing water, storm damage or failing fixings. After inspecting the full length, we identify the defects and share photographs to help you understand what needs attention. All costs are agreed in advance, and we verify drainage with a water test before completing the job.Gutter cleaning in Croydon
read moreWe aim to leave your guttering clear, properly draining and free from identifiable dripping joints. Our work includes removing leaves, moss and silt from the full gutter system, collecting all waste for removal, and flushing every downpipe until the water runs freely. We also provide before and after photographs and explain any additional issues we discover, leaving further decisions entirely to you.Storm damage roof repairs in Croydon
read moreWe provide professional repairs for roofs affected by stormy weather, tackling both visible damage and areas that may be difficult to inspect from the ground. A written quotation is agreed before work begins, and payment is due only when the job is complete.Dry ridge and verge systems in Croydon
read moreOur approach to dry ridge and dry verge installation in Croydon involves replacing loose or failing mortar with screwed, clipped systems.
