Before starting his own business, Alan worked for twenty five years for G. Glisson Ltd Plumbing and Heating. The plumbing & heating company of A. M. Hancock & Son was began in July of 1972 by Alan Hancock. His son, Paul, joined him later that year. Together they began what is now a very well respected and founded family business, located in Bath and its surrounding areas. Alan's eldest grandson, Lee, joined the business in 1988 and was followed by Paul's youngest son Ben in 2004.
