read moreThe emphasis in our Pre-school is on teaching the fundamental skills that children will need to succeed at school, including reading, writing and numeracy. We have a Qualified Teacher who works as part of the Pre-school staff team to extend each child's learning and prepare them for a successful transition to school. We provide a rich and varied program of activities, including weekly cookery classes, football and balancing lessons and stretching and growing which involve every environment indoors and out has a place for children to be active or rest and reflect.

read moreThe Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) is introduced throughout the nursery. The EYFS has long, medium and short term goals. These goals are in place for children to achieve throughout their time at nursery and will follow them on to school. Weekly planning is a key element in the curriculum for each room. To help the staff to achieve the best planning we have regular communication with parents on their children's interests and hobbies. These are then used to plan future activities. We also observe the children on a daily basis to help them achieve their full potential.
