Steve Chennells
May 25, 2018
We entered into this major piece of work on our home with a mixture of excitement and nervousness. From the very first meeting Steve has been organised, professional, knowledgeable and helpful.
This has given us confidence that our job would be done well and to the highest standards.
We found found Steve and his team to be excellent in all aspects of the work. All stages have been done to schedule and specification. Build quality and finishing has been exemplary and expert friends who have looked at the work in progress have always come away impressed.
Steven gives advice and opinions all along the way. Having him playing Devil's advocate as we made important decisions was brilliant and ensured that our choices were the right ones.
As you can tell, we are very happy with our new room and en suite and are looking forward to enjoying it for years to come. All Loft Conversions are highly recommended!

Choosing a Loft Conversion Company
read moreIf you've already been looking around for companies to carry out your loft conversion, you may already be familiar with this scenario. Remember, this applies to any form of building work you commission for your home or business premises, not just a loft conversion. You find a company in the Yellow Pages with a big ad. You call them, and speak to a very nice receptionist, who makes an appointment for a very pleasant, smartly-dressed salesperson to come round and see you. At All Loft Conversions, we take great pride in ensuring that we meet all these criteria - and more.
Building Regulations
read moreThe Party Wall Act 1996 protects adjacent or neighbouring buildings. If any work needs to be done on walls that fall under this act then notice in writing must be given to the third parties. See this Party Wall Act Explanatory Booklet for more info. If your new loft conversion is for habitable accommodation, then it needs to be planned professionally to ensure it confirms to stringent building regulations. Our technical draughtsmen will produce your plans to the highest standards and specifications.
Older Examples Of Our Work
read moreAs well as the excellence of the work, we both also appreciated opening our front door every morning to see you there, ready and waiting to go with a cheery smile and an exclamation of €œMorning Boss!€ we also appreciated your keenness to show and explain the work in progress all through the project. As you can tell, we are very with our new room and en-suite and are looking forward to enjoying it for years to come. Steve and his colleague Wayne are very professional and easy to have around the house, considerate and always courteous and understanding of the stresses and the strains that building works bring.
Testimonials
read moreWe take a great deal of pride in our loft conversion work, so we are naturally delighted when a client or fellow professional takes the trouble to put in writing their appreciation of what we have done and the standards we maintain. During the final inspection you suggested we write you a letter which you could show to future clients. We're very pleased to do so because our loft conversion is exactly what we wanted and exactly what you said you would build. Having seen you working for many weeks, turning up every day on time, we soon realised you are hard-working and very trustworthy and we developed a very good relationship in which you were open to our suggestions and willing to give advice based on your experience.
Typical Cost of a Loft Conversion
read moreSo that you can get a reasonable idea of the budget for your loft conversion, the following are approximate prices based on the average loft conversion projects carried out on properties in good condition in recent years. Please note that every single project is quoted individually, and prices vary according to size, condition of the property, cost of selected materials and so forth. Full survey, working drawings with structural calculations, the Building Inspector's inspection fee, full Building Regulations approval.
Hip to Gable Loft Conversion
read moreLoft conversions for houses which have a gable roof are a sensible option where there is a need for additional useable space. All Loft Conversions offer a complete loft conversion service which will more than meet your aspirations and unlock the full potential of your house. A gable is the, usually triangular, part of a vertical wall, formed by the two sloping sides of a pitched roof meeting at the ridge. A gable can often be seen at the end of a house when the wall is then called a gable end wall.

Velux Loft Conversion
read moreA Velux loft conversion is one of the cheapest ways of gaining an extra room with lots of natural light. You can turn a neglected attic into useable space as a bedroom, study, playroom etc. and add about 20% to the value of your home. A Velux Loft Conversion is cheaper than many other loft conversions because it doesn't involve the cost of changing the height or pitch of the roof. However, it still allows you to have an extra room with lots of light because the windows are set straight into the existing roof.
