Recent times have seen the failure of such cargo airlines as Cargo B and Arrow Air, and the grounding of troubled MK Airlines by the UK Civil Aviation Authority due to concerns about its financial stability. Arguably a forerunner of all the above was the failure of DAS Air. For over twenty years the Ugandan- registered carrier was one of the most iconic cargo airlines, in its later years expanding from Africa to Europe routes to serve Dubai and China with its DC-10 fleet.
