A Star Tutors is no ordinary education centre. Our philosophy is to ensure we only recruit specialist teachers who are or have excelled in their teaching of either Maths, English or Science. We also ensure all our tutors are able to connect with your child to bring the best out of them.Our centre operates an all inclusive policy in that we can help any child of any ability to improve and succeed in the essential subjects of Maths, English and Science. So whether it is GCSE or A level tuition you require our tutors are specifically selected for their specialisms in that subject at that level.

read moreIf you cant make after school tuition classes dont worry we offer you the opportunity to experience our great teachers on a Saturday.We offer the full range of classes on Saturday mornings along with some special Saturday morning clubs such as:
Saturday Homework Clubs
If you have homework to do let us help you. Our Saturday homework clubs allow you to bring your homework along and get help from our teachers in completing it. We run clubs in English, Maths and Science. You can also get help from the array of online sources we have to assist with research and getting the job done. Our teachers wont do it for you, but assist you in completing it to the best of your ability.
Saturday Workshops.
We also offer at periods throughout the academic year workshops around certain specific topics of the syllabuses you may be studying. For example, one of the text in A level English is the Crucible by Arthur Miller. We hold a specific two hour workshop all about the Crucible, its content and examine past exam questions relating to that topic.

read moreHere at Lisa's A Star tutors, in our relaxed and friendly environment, we offer an all round comprehensive service for your child whether they are starting their educational journey in Year 1 or finishing their school life in the sixth form. We are a team of highly professional, extremely qualified and approachable tutors with an array of experience in the education world. Our sessions are one to one between tutor and student. Alternatively, we can offer a small group of similar age, ability and school year which consists of no more than 4 learners to one tutor if preferred.

read moreI am a fully qualified teacher of mathematics with many years of classroom experience (KS3 & KS4) and 1:1 tutoring. I also have experience of marking AQA GCSE exam papers. I enjoy working with students to build their confidence in mathematics and enable them to make real progress, leading to exam success which gives them more options and opens more doors for them and their future career. In our sessions we can work on any areas that you the student want to work on in each session (maybe topics that you haven't fully understood in your recent lessons at school) and I can help with any school homework that you are finding challenging.
