Services
Kitchen Removal
Before your new kitchen is installed, we can take care of removing the existing one safely and methodically. This includes disconnecting appliances and taking out wall units, base units, worktops and sinks. We aim to protect surrounding walls, flooring and plumbing that will remain. The finished area is left clean and ready for the next stage.
Plumbing & Electrical Preparation
Before fitting your new kitchen, we arrange the first-fix plumbing and electrical work required for the planned layout. Qualified plumbers and NICEIC-registered electricians handle the relevant connections, including water, waste, sockets and extraction wiring. Gas pipe repositioning can also be coordinated where needed, with completion certificates and sign-off documents supplied for the appropriate work.
Plastering & Wall Preparation
Before fitting kitchen units, we make sure the walls are properly prepared and ready for installation. Following removal of the existing kitchen, we inspect the surfaces and address any required repairs. Our work can include plastering, rendering, levelling, damp treatment and sealing, with installation moving forward only when the walls are dry, level and sound.
Kitchen Cabinet Installation
A successful cabinet installation depends on accurate setting out and thorough adjustment, which is why we take time to complete both properly. Our team fits cabinets from major brands and bespoke manufacturers, including Wren, IKEA, Howdens and Magnet. Uneven floors or walls are accommodated through adjustable legs and packing, followed by careful alignment of doors, drawers and panels.
Worktop Installation
For kitchens where the cabinets are still suitable but the worktop requires attention, our replacement service provides an alternative to full renovation. We measure the existing space on site and prepare the selected worktop with precise cuts, sink and hob apertures, and carefully finished edges. Joints are sealed with the appropriate material, with colour-matched resin used where suitable.
Appliance Installation
We undertake appliance fitting and connection as part of a professional kitchen installation service. Our work includes ovens and hobs, extractor hoods with ducting, dishwashers, washing machines, fridge-freezers, microwaves and built-in appliances. Each installation is completed in line with manufacturer guidance and applicable regulations, followed by thorough testing and a straightforward explanation of basic appliance operation.
Sink and Tap Plumbing
Our approach to sink and tap installation combines careful fitting with comprehensive plumbing checks. Sinks are sealed around the perimeter to help protect the cabinet below from water ingress, while supply and waste connections are completed with quality fittings. We test the system by running water through it and visually inspect the connections before completion.
Kitchen Tiling & Splashbacks
A kitchen can be updated through tiling or a new splashback without replacing the wider installation. We undertake this work independently, using ceramic, porcelain, metro and large-format tiles or glass and acrylic splashbacks. Our fitting process covers wall priming, considered layout planning, adhesive fixing, grouting, grout sealing and precise silicone application at junctions.
Kitchen Painting & Decorating
Our approach combines careful preparation with professional painting to give kitchen spaces a refreshed finish. We address cracks and holes, smooth surfaces through sanding, and apply the appropriate primer before topcoats. The service includes cabinet door repainting, ceiling and wall painting, woodwork, skirting, feature walls, and two-tone finishes where required.

We were not able to find a company capable not only install our Wren kitchen, but do the rest as well - tiling, decorating, removing the old kitchen, appliance connections etc. We chose Urban Kitchens to manage the entire renovation of our kitchen space. They also repainte the walls and replaced the engineered flooring. Everything was organised, completed on schedule and finished to a very high standard.

Urban Kitchens team helped us with the installation of our German kitchen which we have purchased from an independent showroom in 2025 in London and were looking for experienced installers. The precision of the installation was very impressive. They also templated, produced and installed wonderful looking quartz worktops for our kitchen. Everything fits perfectly and we are really happy with the finished result.
