Davids firm was one of many who inspected the roof of my bungalow but the only one who impressed me in terms of competence, presentation and straightforwardness. While they were not the cheapest, they were not the most expensive. They undertook the work at the beginning of January and were blessed with a fortnight of good weather. From start to finish there was oversight of the work and consideration given to our lifestyle.
A temporary repair was made pending work on the project beginning. Scaffolding was carefully erected and care was taken with the property overall. Davids presence was regular and attentive to our needs. There was an absence of loud radio and a respectful approach. Follow-up was good. In all, an operation I recommend.

Kane & Sons gave a thorough and professional quote.
Having been given the go ahead they arrived at the agreed time and date. With minimal fuss they replaced the tired old gutters and leaky downpipes on my 4 bedroom house. They cleared everything up and took the old stuff away. A couple of months later one of the gutters was overspilling badly. I phoned David and he came out very quickly to check the job. The guttering and downpipes fitted were fine but a plug of moss, twigs and leaves had blocked the top of the downpipe. David removed the blockage and everything worked perfectly again.

The job required working with two other people to make it work: solar panels, and scaffolders. Whilst I could have managed that myself, I thought if they could work togeather to a reasonable time, that would be the better solution. It takes a certain person to manage other suppliers to get the job done. David Kane was one of those people. While doing the job he happily helped fix a lead roof which leaked in strong wind and rain, using the same grade (type 5).
At no extra charge. Would recommend anyone with a chimney, roof, lead, fascia... Polite, gets the job done on time, tidies up the mess created by himself and others. We've had five people up on the roof. Kane and Sons the best by a long margin.

Dave was on time, polite and explained everything that needed doing on the job. They kept to the budget we agreed before he started the work too. Both him and Mark are trustworthy, they were professional and tidy and friendly. We would highly recommend them.
