I started having lessons with Jens in January 2020 when I was struggling with learning German, and I really enjoyed the personalised lessons and improved a lot with his help! He's a very patient teacher and he taught many good ways to learn German and simplify it in a way that is easy to comprehend. After the summer period and having been taught by Kristin, Jens' colleague, I decided to be taught by Kristin fully as I became very comfortable with her teaching style. Kristin is a very patient and passionate teacher, you will definitely feel comfortable and at ease when being taught by her.
She's definitely very experienced and extremely willing to help and personalise your lessons according to what you're weak at. She's very encouraging and builds your confidence, even when you make mistakes or you're unsure, which is important when German is definitely not an easy language to learn. I would highly recommend the tutors at Olesen Tuition if you're interested in learning German or would like to improve your current level.

I had lessons with Jens for 7 months, starting at a complete beginner level on one of the intensive weekly courses. The course was effectively structured and taught in a really clear way, covering German grammar topics alongside conversation practice. The lessons were also very engaging, in groups of between 3 and 5 people. Soon after finishing the course with Jens, I moved to Berlin as part of a relocation with my job where I secured a place on a level B1.2 course at the Goethe Institut in Berlin - reaching this level in a relatively short period of time is testament to Jen's teaching!

Jens is friendly, warm and engaging. In his lessons he strikes the right balance of attacking the intricacies of German grammar and keeping the lessons enjoyable. My daughters (14 and 12) have already benefited greatly from the lessons and they look forward to continuing in the next academic year.

Jens has been a game-changer for our 13 year old son who is on the autism spectrum. Jen's steady creative approach has turned our son who was previously told he "shouldn't be studying a foreign language" into an enthusiastic learner. Jens's responsive approach pulls out what the student knows and builds on that knowledge in a relative and stimulating way. He is hard working, organised and reliable. A real treasure! I would highly recommend him.
