With over 14 years experience working with behavioural issues in pet dogs you can be assured that I will give you everything to assist you in achieving the goals you desire with your dog. You will need to work though as I do not sprinkle fairy dust or wave magic wands. For things to change for you and your dog you will have to change.

John came in to help us at a time when we felt we were out of options after numerous problems with our dog. He put things in place to help us keep him calm and explained his behaviour more so we understood how to manage it better. We will be doing some more training with John in the future and highly recommend him.

John has been absolutely brilliant and has helped us immensely. His methods, knowledge, tools and advice.
Are second to none. From Johns first visit we had a calmer more balanced 8 month old daschund. Together with Bailey, I have learnt how to help Bailey become a happier member of the family. After just 3 visits. Bailey is a different dog. I plan to continue the training using the tools given by John. If I stumbled along the way. I know John is at the end of the phone to give me more support and guidance.

Our dog has become a real task to get her to be what we want her to be for our family. John has come in and told us how we change ourselves for the good of the dog. And wow what a change, each time we learn what we are doing not so great, we make an adjustment and see the change in the dog. Highly recommend John.

We have just started on our journey with John, but wow - what an impact he has had on our family already. Our beautiful rescue, Ankara, has been far too spoilt and allowed far too much control in the time she has been with us. In all honesty, I felt sorry for her with the past she has had. We had tried with another trainer, but lockdown struck and this could not be continued. In one session, John showed Ankara who was boss and she knew!

He was assertive, firm and authoritative, but he had such a kind way about him too. We have started to use John's training advice and have probably bored him to tears with emails already. He is so responsive and encouraging. We are determined to get this right for our girl. She's precious. Thank you, John and Joan! You are certainly helping us to have a calmer, more structured home.

John was amazing with my rescue dog Lula who had been condemned by a previous behaviourist. John saved Lula's life by rehabilitating her and training me 😊 to the fabulous relationship we have now! Highly recommended !

John and Joan are the most lovely people you can meet. I am so pleased that I found them to look after my dog Charlie when I go away, it is home from home, in fact so much so that Charlie doesnt want to come home. John has also helped me so much with Charlies behaviour, he understands how dogs work and knows how to rectify and control unwanted behaviours. I recently went on a pack walk with him which I found amazingly helpful. I really cant recommend Top Dog House enough, nothing is too much trouble and you know your dog is in the best possible hands. I wouldnt send Charlie anywhere else.

Having never had a dog before, we welcomed into our home Ozzy, pedigree Black lad puppy. We wanted to ensure we got our training off the mark in the right way, especially with having 3 young kids who all shared the same energy levels as Ozzy!

John was just brilliant, calm, reassuring and so knowledgeable. John was able to give us some great exercises to start us off, but also was really good in breaking the steps down and understanding WHY we would approach a situation or training in a certain way with Ozzy.

That helped us to correct a couple of things we were already finding tricky. John understanding and knowledge of dog behaviour and breed awareness was astounding, and really helped us understand why Ozzy was displaying particular behaviours. We look forward to a lasting relationship with John for years to come, as there is no doubt we will welcome his support and knowledge as the months roll on as well as the other services he provides.

Milo (Cavachon) & Daisy (Bichon Frise) had a great holiday at Top Dog House for a week last month. They are very anxious and clingy dogs but were incredibly happy and content with John & Joan. I also felt at ease watching daily videos and receiving photos of how much fun they were having. They enjoyed daily walks, socialising and lots of love, care and attention. A real home from home. John & Joan know their stuff and treat the dogs like their own. My two will never stay anywhere else but here. Thank you both

Charlie Frenchie has boarded at Top Dog House with John and Joan...He is well looked after and Charlie is very happy to stay here. Whilst boarding, he enjoys his daily walks with the rest of the regular pack walkers, enjoys the company of other dog friends and has a lot of fuss made of him, cuddles and watching telly together on the sofa. Top Dog House really is home from home..so much so, that when we collect Charlie he looks like he'd be quite happy to stay at Top 🐕 😂😂 Can't recommend enough

John is a fantastic trainer,he and his wife helped us with our dog having behaviour problems .I can really recommend Top dog house .My dog had an overnight stay and he was really cared for .Very understanding people
