I've hired a van from Mcnicoll Vehicle Hire twice now and had a great experience both times. The whole process was smooth and straightforward, from booking to pickup and return.
Paul was especially helpful and made everything easy. The vans were clean, well maintained, and offered very good value for money. The only downside is that there aren't enough electric vans available at the moment. Hopefully that's something that can expand in the future.
Overall, I would definitely recommend them and would happily use their service again.

Great service again, reasonable rates for midweek van rental in Edinburgh city centre. Top notch van. Thorough inspection before and after and felt we were treated fairly, unlike A**s who invented a non-existent puncture a few years back. Would recommend.

Fantastic and efficient service with extremely friendly customer service staff - a real point of difference to some of the large vehicle rental companies. The vehicle was spotless too and very new. I plan to only ever use McNicoll for vehicle hire going forward.

Highly recommend - Rio was the manager there. Unfortunately, I didn't check the time of when the branch closed, and as train had a delay, I missed out on hiring a car. I showed up at 9am the next day to hopefully pick up my car however, as I didn't show up on the first day, it was deemed as a no show and I had booked through booking.com
Rio was so helpful and did everything she could to help me get a car on that same day.
She advised that I contact booking.com and we were able to sort out a car within half an hour without any additional costs. Rio and her staff were so lovely, reassured that I shouldn't need to stress and was able to enjoy the rest of my holiday in Scotland.
