What flight training courses do you offer?
We provide PPL, LAPL, Night Rating, IR(R), and Flight Instructor courses with both theoretical and practical components.
Do I need prior flying experience?
No prior experience is required. Our introductory lessons and structured courses cater to complete beginners.
Can I gift a flying lesson?
Yes, we offer gift vouchers for introductory flights valid for six months with options for 2 or 4-seater aircraft.
What are your training locations?
Our main base operates at Sandtoft Airfield with additional training available at Doncaster Sheffield Airport.
Are there age or weight restrictions?
No minimum age, though flights must be logged from age 14. 2-seater aircraft have a 16st (101kg) passenger limit.

My experience with Yorkshire Aero Club was nothing short of amazing. Throughout all 7 of my recent lessons, both trainers who I had the pleasure of flying with were superb. They taught with consistent patience and professionalism, making the overall experience both enjoyable and adequately demanding. There is no doubt at all that I will be continuing my training at this facility until I acquire my PPL. To anyone who is hesitant about beginning their flying experience, I strongly reccomend starting at Yorkshire Aero Club and you will not be disappointed

Amazing 1 hour trial flight with Yorkshire Aero club. The whole experience for us was unforgettable and my parents loved the entire thing. Very friendly and professional instructor too. On the whole a very professional company with friendly staff, entirely recommended to everybody! Book it!

I would not hesitate to recommend both Dan and James at this flying club after spending the best part of 9 months learning how to fly with them. Every lesson was focussed and well-planned and both understand very well the particular pressures of developing knowledge, skills and understanding in a cockpit environment. The friendly manner they approached each session with certainly went quite some way to relieving some of the pressures involved in learning how to fly but I can say with absolute certainty that it was money very well spent.
I am now a proud owner of a PPL license and will be looking to add my night rating very shortly. The fact that you can do all of this at an International airport is an added bonus (landing on Doncaster's huge runway is fantastic!)
