We got Darren and his team to convert our bungalows loft into 3 bedrooms and an en suite. We had a number of quotes from different local building firms but Darrens enthusiasm and knowledge of construction made us choose him we are so happy we did as he did not disappoint! The architect we had used made some major oversights in his designs that not only meant there was minimal information for Darren to work with but also rooms that would have been unusable. Darren was able to work around these issues resolving each one as they arose leaving us with a superb loft conversion which has not only added value to our house but our familys lives too. The high standard of work and value for money means that we are getting Darren and his team to do more building work on the ground floor as we will not risk using anyone else.

Having decided to finally undertake a major extension project, DBK were one of a number of builders that we asked to quote on the work. We decided to go with DBK as they were competitive and more importantly recommended to us by a number of friends and neighbours. We knew the quality of their work from the other extensions carried out in our area. Our project included a double storey side, extra bedroom and single storey to the back extension (+ garage removal).

From day one, Darren and the team proved to be not only competent builders but also a lovely bunch of lads. They were extremely professional at all times. They managed to fit all the messy work around our schedule and always made sure that we had hot water, kitchen and and bathroom facilities throughout the work, which is incredibly important with a young family on site throughout the build. There were also a number of extra things that we decided to include during the build which had not been originally planned for and he was always able to accommodate the extra jobs with no fuss.

DBK have done 2 major jobs for me (not to mention numerous small, tricky lifesaving ones!) and the standard of workmanship is as good as you could possibly expect. Darren is a perfectionist and will be over backwards to make a job work. Both jobs (a kitchen and a loft conversion) involved all aspects of trades including electrics, building, joinery, plumbing, flooring, plastering and decorating and were done on time and to budget. I wouldnt hesitate to recommend them to you.

Darren and the team were a pleasure to deal with from the very first stages right through to making sure all the works were complete in time for the birth of our little girl. Having the builders in can be a very stressful experience so when the need arises you need a team of friendly people who will do a great job (we are talking a very high level of craftsmanship here and all building regulations having been safely met), be trustworthy (including looking after the dog and making sure the house is locked up each night), be as tidy as possible (this is difficult but each evening any dust etc was hovered up before we got home), quote a good price (and not deviate from this) and also be flexible enough to accommodate any changes mid-build (again, not a problem here). I am happy to say that Darren and the team met all the above requirements and we now have a cracking loft conversion. Brilliant job! Thanks very much.
