Such a pleasure working with James. He was extremely professional, delivered on time and was very responsive through the process. I was initially a bit conscious about the shoot but James was friendly and put me at ease right at the beginning and was very chatty through the process, making it a very easy experience. The pictures are very high quality and I would highly recommend James.

James was just fantastic. From the very outset he was very responsive and flexible, adapting to our complicated shot-list and last minute changes. On the night he was punctual, very friendly and professional and was able to manage the >500 people we had at the event in order to capture the diversity of shots we needed. We were delighted with the final photographs, which came to us the day after the event. We can't wait to continue working with him at our future events!

I have been an admirer of James Gifford-Mead's photography for a number of years. He has a truly remarkable eye, as his body of work is testament to. I have had the privilege of seeing him photograph on a number of occasions, and his method can be described as patient, studied and unobtrusive, in addition to his professional and dedicated approach. He has a particular talent for portraiture, both in capturing the essence of his subjects, but also in his timing of those fleeting moments of heightened emotion that elevate his work above the mainstream.

James is an outstandingly approachable and hard-working photographer with a terrific eye. He's produced hundreds of great images for the Henley Literary Festival over the past few years in fact, they keep getting better. Despite the fact we have him trudging across Henley for long days on end (45 miles' worth of walking in just one week this year) he is consistently pleasant, professional and at ease with all manner of people, from the young to the old to the downright famous. We highly recommended James and hope to work alongside him for the foreseeable future.

Our organization used James Gifford-Mead for a group photo of nearly 150 delegates (outside in London in the hotel courtyard) in October. He managed to get a great group shot for us in less than 15 minutes. With over 100 people in the shot, he managed it very well. We also used him for candid meeting photos and a large evening social event as well. We appreciated his professionalism, attention to detail and his responsiveness to our requests.
