Business Details
We provide students with a stimulating environment that builds self confidence and empowers them to pursue their chosen carrier path with hope and enthusiasm. To this end Auburn College uses the Haven-Empowerment teaching model - a teaching method developed and refined by our founder, J.P. McLaughlin. This teaching system provides a comfortable and challenging setting where students can exercise their newly acquired knowledge and skills as they learn.
The college offers tuitions from ESOL, Functional Skills, BTEC, to Higher Education, and we are an approved centre for NCFE awards and qualifications. In addition to gaining knowledge at Auburn College students can participate in traineeships and apprenticeships in the media arts with our partners Blazefm and TCNN (The Citizens News Network). Students can also participate in our upcoming Social Entrepreneur BTEC program. Or, with Auburn Colleges extensive connections throughout the Third Sector - the fastest growing sector of our economy - students can further network for work experience and employment opportunities.
Social changes and technologies are developing at an ever accelerating rate. Without an education this generation will not be able to keep up or find meaningful employment. With rising education costs already more than 40% of todays learners are not be able to repay their student loans. And they are finding themselves caught in the vicious cycle of borrowing to pay for more education, more education so they can earn more to pay off student loans, and so on. Affordable, quality education is more important than ever before. Come join us at Auburn College; learn, grow and expand your horizons!

Communication Skills Course
Confident communicators arent born, they are made. They learn what makes people listen and respond, and they practice and use those skills every day. Those skills arent some secret knowledge, either, but a simple understanding of how and why communication works, and the ways in which we can enhance what we say to make sure our message is clear, consistent and compelling. Communicating with confidence ensures you get your ideas across, and that people remember you, and what you say. It is the best, and simplest, way of achieving your objectives. It helps in any number of situations: talking with colleagues, your boss, one-to-one and in departmental meetings, in conversation with existing and potential clients, in appraisals and performance reviews, or in maintaining and improving everyday relationships.
In the Confident Communication Workshop, you will learn: How to build rapport How to develop and maintain relationships How to get your point across How body language can help How to create win/win situations How people receive communication How to handle difficult conversations Work successfully, and achieve your goals Be listened to and remembered Understand others needs Handle disputes Achieve outcomes that work for all Improve your career and promotion prospects Course Dates: Full-day workshop on Saturday, June 20th Part-time evening classes Monday, June 22nd Thursday, June 25th from 06:00pm till 08:00pm Part-time morning classes Monday, June 22nd Thursday, June 25th from 10
