DrumHouse-Nigel

Established in 2005, DrumHouse-Nigel has been West Yorkshire's premier mobile drum teaching service, delivering expert one-to-one instruction to students of all skill levels. With over two decades of professional drumming experience and a 100% pass rate for Rock School and Trinity Rock & Pop examinations, we combine technical mastery with a tailored approach to suit individual learning needs. Our founder, Nigel Wilkinson, studied at Leeds College of Music and the Academy of Contemporary Music, gaining insights from industry professionals including Thomas Lang and Mike Sturgis. We offer flexible lesson formats, including home visits across Leeds, Harrogate, Otley, Ilkley, and Wetherby, as well as sessions at our home studio. Our commitment to excellence is evidenced by our track record of preparing students for graded exams, competitions, and live performances, with many progressing to music schools and professional engagements.

We prioritise a relaxed, encouraging environment where students develop both technical proficiency and a genuine passion for drumming. Our DBS-certified instructors bring extensive experience from school programs, after-school clubs, and private tuition, ensuring a structured yet adaptable teaching methodology. We provide free drumming resources, rudiment lessons, and access to a YouTube channel to support continuous learning. Testimonials from satisfied students and parents highlight our dedication to professionalism, patience, and measurable progress, with achievements ranging from adult beginners fulfilling lifelong goals to young musicians securing distinctions at Grade 8 level. As lifelong advocates of musical education, we remain committed to inspiring the next generation of drummers while maintaining the highest standards of instruction.
