What age do you photograph babies?
We specialise in newborn photography for babies under 14 days old, capturing them when they're most sleepy and flexible for optimal posing.
How far in advance should I book?
We recommend booking during pregnancy to secure your preferred dates. Sessions are scheduled around 7 days post-due date but can be adjusted if baby arrives early or late.
What safety measures do you have?
Both photographers hold Level Three Paediatric First Aid qualifications. We use professional posing techniques and never leave babies unattended during sessions.
What's included in a photoshoot?
Sessions include professional posing, hand-crocheted outfits by Vicky, multiple set designs, and 2-3 hours for feeding breaks. We provide guidance throughout the preparation process.

I have just received my photos from Phil and Vicky and I am delighted with the final outcome. From the arrangement of the shoot to the shoot itself and the follow-up, Phil and Vicky were friendly, welcoming, and professional. Thankyou to Phil and Vicky for having us back a second time. Our first newborn shoot was so lovely with super cute pictures, we didn't consider going anywhere else for our second. They are a lovely couple who made us all feel welcome and Vicky worked extremely hard to get our 19 month old smiling and looking her way! Whilst the baby was very happy being handled, changed and posed. Would recommend them to anyone for newborn/family photos, we have captured the best memories with them!

We had the most wonderful experience with Phil and Vicki at Phillip Charles Photography for our newborn photoshoot. From the moment we arrived, they made us feel so welcome and completely at ease. They were so kind, friendly, and patient, and they took such amazing care of our little girl, we instantly felt she was in safe hands. The studio had such a lovely, calm atmosphere, and we were even able to sit back, relax, and enjoy a cuppa and some biscuits while they worked their magic.
It was such a thoughtful touch and a real treat for us as new parents! The photos are absolutely stunning, more beautiful than we could have imagined with the handcrafted outfits, and theyve captured memories well cherish forever. We honestly cant thank Phil and Vicki enough for making the whole experience so special.

Thankyou to Phil and Vicky for welcoming us back for a second time. The photoshoot was an amazing experience and did not disappoint. They are a wonderful couple and made our 3 year old feel at ease to create some lovely sibling/family photos. Our newborn was extremely relaxed in Vickys arms when changing outfits and being put into different positions. I would highly recommend to anyone thinking of having a newborn photo shoot. The photo session was amazing and they really settled us a first time parents whilst also treating us to some tricks on how to calm a newborn. We had a fab session with Vicky & Phil and I cannot thank them enough for the wonderful photos they captured. From booking through to collection, everything was easy and Vicky & Phil were so helpful. The session was calm and relaxed, we had no doubts at all that our baby girl was in good hands. We felt so welcome from the second we stepped in the door and loved just watching them both work together to make sure she was comfy and safe as they snapped away. From the moment we met Vicky from Philip Charles Photography, we were impressed with her standard of work, enthusiasm, easy-going manner and passion for what she does. Throughout our experience Vicky was on hand to offer advice on the best shots both indoors and outdoors including contingency shots should the weather be unkind as we married in October 2021. However, these were not needed as our weather was truly amazing and Vicky was able to take all the shots she had planned.
Our wedding party had nothing but praise for Vicky as her approachable and easy manner showed through when she was taking our pictures.
