We
were formed in 2009 after identifying a lack of continuity between Security,
Fire Safety and Health and Safety services. What we found was that although
these disciplines have many things in common, it is extremely unusual to find
one assessor who has excellent professional qualifications in all three
areas.
We have just such an assessor and our approach has met with an
excellent response with customers from Newcastle in the North, to Bournemouth in
the South and in cities such as London and Birmingham as well as rural areas
such as Hereford and Worcester.
In
July 2010 we relocated from London to Hereford in the West Midlands but we
continue to offer our services across the UK. We
are dedicated to delivering a Common Sense Approach to Risk and we ensure our
services are adapted to your needs AND your budget !

Security
Being a former Metropolitan Police Officer with over 25 years experience and a recognised expert who specialises in Crime Prevention, our Assessor has provided advice on Security to a vast range of businesses and organisations within the public and private sectors including:- Local Authorities, Museums, Schools, Shopping Centres, Farms, Retail Parks, Pubs, Clubs and Restaurants, Leisure Facilities and a wide variety of Retail businesses, Private residences and Social housing. His areas of expertise include: Robbery, Burglary and Theft reduction, Loss Prevention Strategies, Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design, Intruder Alarm Systems , Access Control Systems, Energy Efficient Security Lighting, Business Continuity Planning, Reducing Vandalism and Anti-Social Behaviour.
His excellent knowledge and innovation has been recognised and he has been a guest speaker at University College London , Oxford Brookes University and the Headquarters of the National Policing Improvement Agency - the UK training centre for Crime Prevention Officers. His advice is based on experience of why and how criminals target businesses and his recommendations are both practical and cost-effective.

Fire Safety
Our Fire Risk Assessor was trained by the London Fire Brigade (LFB) and successfully passed the Institute of Fire Engineers Risk Assessor's examination before completing further training in Fire Risk Assessment again with the LFB. He is also a member of the IFPO. We have completed assessments for a wide variety of businesses across the UK with customers including the Corporation of London and we pride ourselves on delivering highly professional reports that are clear and concise. We can also provide Fire Safety training and Policies, Emergency Plans and advice on subjects such as the correct location for your Assembly Point, Fire Safety and COSHH requirements, advice on Arson Prevention and Evacuation procedures.
Health & Safety
Our Health and Safety Assessor has provided advice to a vast range of businesses and organisations within the public and private sectors including:- Schools, Warehouses, Farms, Pubs, Clubs and Restaurants, Light Industry, Leisure Facilities and a wide variety of Retail businesses. We can provide Risk Assessments, a range of Health and Safety Policies and other essential documentation that will allow your business to not only be legally compliant and just as importantly, protect you and your staff. We also offer Staff and Management training and design induction packages that include video presentations filmed on site and with input from Managers and Staff.
All our Risk Assessments are easy to follow and combine a Common Sense Approach with high quality photographs taken on site. Our Assessor is NEBOSH qualified , an associate member of the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health and a member of the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA). In 2009 /10 he was also an adviser to RoSPA and EON power on their Lone and Remote Worker project which examined the safety of workers in a variety of industries and professions.

Bond Fitness recently opened a new fitness facility in Hertfordshire and required a company that would be able to undertake our Security, Fire Safety and Health and Safety risk assessments and also provide policy documents. I am very pleased to report that Paul Daykin, of 4 Risk Prevention, has done a magnificent job in all areas. Paul and 4 Risk Prevention have gone above and beyond what would be expected and not only was all the documentation of a high quality but it was provided within 7 days ! I would highly recommend him for any work of this nature and will indeed be using 4Risk Prevention for any similar work in the future.

Mr Paul Daykin [of 4Risk Prevention] has been working with Hereford Cathedral School to review our Health & Safety Policy, Fire Risk Policy and Emergency Procedure Plan. Pauls work has been invaluable, he has provided an in depth report highlighting all the main areas of risk within the School together with practical advise on how to implement remedial action. The use of photographic material within the reports has made it easy to show Senior Managers and other staff some of the dangers that can occur if processes and procedures are not followed at all times and has had a much greater impact than the usual checklist of issues.

As a high risk environment with a high turnover of low skilled workers I believe that the work we have done with 4 Risk Prevention has helped us prevent a very serious accident or even worse. What we have also found has been an unexpected bonus. The ideas and approach of their assessor , Paul Daykin, have led to an increase in Staff morale and a rise in capacity and productivity of over 200%. We have again retained 4 Risk Prevention for 2011 and welcome the excellent support offered by them and Paul.
