Leasowe Golf Club - Wirral's Premier Golf Destination
Leasowe Golf Club was established in 1891 on Leasowe Common, with its original nine-hole course near Moreton Lighthouse. Our first Captain, John Ball Junior, was a renowned golfer who won the Amateur Championship eight times and played a pivotal role in shaping the club's early legacy. Over the decades, the course expanded to 18 holes, though coastal erosion and road development altered its layout. The modern clubhouse, rebuilt after a devastating fire in 1963, offers panoramic views of Liverpool Bay, North Wales, and the Lake District.Today, we combine historic charm with contemporary facilities, including a fine dining venue and function spaces. Our course, now fully owned by the club, features Leasowe Castle as a historic centerpiece. We welcome members and visitors, offering green fees, tee bookings, and tailored membership packages. Our commitment to preserving golfing heritage while providing accessible, high-quality facilities defines our enduring appeal to local and regional golf enthusiasts.
