Pantomime Productions
Our annual pantomimes combine traditional elements with fresh interpretations, featuring local talent in family-friendly performances. Each January production at Cordes Hall includes interactive audience participation and modern twists on classic tales. Recent successes include 'Goldilocks and the Three Bears' and 'Cinderella', with upcoming shows continuing this heritage of theatrical excellence.
Play Stagings
We present two major plays annually in May and September, showcasing diverse genres from Austen adaptations to contemporary dramas. Recent productions like 'Electra' and 'Emma' demonstrate our commitment to quality storytelling. Each performance features professional-standard sets, costumes, and direction within our intimate 300-seat venue.
Audition Workshops
Regular workshops prepare participants for mainstage auditions, covering acting techniques, vocal projection, and stage movement. These sessions cater to both newcomers and experienced performers, with guidance from professional directors. Recent workshops focused on pantomime roles and Shakespearean interpretation.
Theatre Training
We offer comprehensive theatre training through junior workshops and summer schools. Participants learn stagecraft, costume design, and performance skills under expert supervision. The annual QP Junior Summer School culminates in a full-scale production, providing hands-on experience for young performers aged 8-16.
Community Events
Beyond regular productions, we host script read-throughs, charity fundraisers, and special performances. Our 'Sheep Hunt' family event combines community interaction with prize incentives, while relaxed performances ensure accessibility for neurodiverse audiences.
