Welcome to Toxteth Tabernacle, Liverpool's Community Church
Toxteth Tabernacle is a historic, family-oriented church at the heart of Liverpool's Toxteth community. Established nearly 150 years ago, we serve as a spiritual and social hub for residents of the L8 postcode, welcoming individuals from diverse backgrounds and nations. Our worship services, held every Sunday at 10:30am, blend traditional and contemporary elements to engage all generations. We prioritise three core values: deepening our relationship with God through worship and scripture, fostering inclusive family-like relationships within our congregation, and actively serving our local community through outreach initiatives. Our doctrinal foundation rests on the authority of the Bible, the Trinity, and the transformative power of faith in Jesus Christ. We offer regular sermons, prayer support, and community events, including our popular Parent & Toddler group. As stewards of this historic institution, we balance our rich heritage with modern relevance, striving to impact both local and global communities through compassionate action and spiritual guidance.
