Welcome to St Thomas, Edinburgh
St Thomas has served the Edinburgh community since its establishment, offering a welcoming environment for worship, fellowship, and community engagement. Our services blend traditional and contemporary elements, with weekly Sunday worship both in-person and online via YouTube. We prioritise accessibility, providing informal gatherings, children's and youth activities, and homegroups for deeper connection. The church actively supports global mission work through its World Concern initiative, partnering with missionaries in Namibia, Colombia, and London.

Our commitment to safeguarding ensures a safe space for all, while community outreach includes coffee mornings, nursing home visits, and youth programs. The building features accessible facilities, including a dedicated drop-off area for those with mobility needs. Regular events like holiday clubs and quizzes foster community spirit, and our office team provides support for room bookings and general inquiries. With a history dating back to 1906, we continue to adapt our ministry to meet modern needs while maintaining core Christian values.

Services
Sunday Worship
Our weekly Sunday worship combines traditional Anglican liturgy with contemporary elements. Services typically last 60-75 minutes and include Bible readings, modern worship songs displayed on screens, and opportunities for personal prayer. Refreshments are served after each service to encourage community connection. Both in-person attendance and online participation via YouTube are available.
Children's Ministry
We provide age-appropriate learning activities for children under 13 during Sunday services. Our programs include interactive Bible teaching, crafts, and games designed to help young people engage with Christian teachings in an age-appropriate way. Special holiday clubs and family-friendly events are also offered throughout the year.
Homegroups
Our homegroups offer opportunities for deeper spiritual connection and Bible study. These smaller gatherings meet regularly in members' homes across Edinburgh, providing space for discussion, prayer, and mutual support. Groups cater to different age ranges and interests while maintaining focus on Christian community building.
World Concern
Through our World Concern initiative, we support global Christian mission projects. Current partnerships include ministries in Namibia, Colombia, and London. The program manages an annual budget on behalf of the church, continuing our century-long commitment to international outreach that began with missionary sending in 1906.
Prayer Meetings
Regular prayer opportunities include our weekly Prayer @ 7 online session and special prayer events. These gatherings focus on intercessory prayer for global needs, local community concerns, and personal requests. Participants can join either in person or through our online platform.
