Childcare Rooms
Our Butterflies, Bumblebees, Sunshine, and Rainbow rooms cater to children aged 6 months to 5 years. Each space maintains strict adult-to-child ratios (1:3 to 1:8) with qualified staff. Rooms feature dedicated learning areas, outdoor access, and resources designed for independent exploration. Specialised equipment supports sensory play, creative expression, and early literacy development.
Early Years Education
We deliver the Early Years Foundation Stage framework through play-based learning. Our curriculum covers seven key areas including personal development, communication, and physical growth. Children engage in structured activities and free play across indoor and outdoor environments. Daily routines incorporate music, yoga, and technology-enhanced learning experiences.
Anti-Racist Practice Hub
As a recognised anti-racism hub, we provide sector-leading training and resources. Our initiatives include the Bristol Early Years Forum for Anti-Racist Practice and collaborative policy development with BAND. We offer presentations, workshops, and open days to promote equitable practices across early years settings.
Cultural Events
Our Cultural Calendar features celebrations that reflect diverse identities and traditions. Through themed activities and community partnerships, we create 'mirrors and windows' experiences. These programs help children develop self-awareness while understanding different cultures, supporting their growth as global citizens.
Community Programs
We facilitate parent partnerships through SEND support, anti-racist practice sharing, and community allotment projects. Our outreach includes training sessions for practitioners and collaborative initiatives with local authorities. These programs strengthen family engagement and extend learning beyond the nursery environment.
