Learning Disability Wales

We are Learning Disability Wales, a charitable organisation dedicated to improving the lives of people with learning disabilities across Wales. We have been operating for many years, providing support, information and training to our members and the wider community. Our staff and trustees bring extensive expertise in advocacy, training, innovation and representation within the learning disability sector. We inform, train, innovate, represent and challenge to empower children, young people and adults with learning disabilities to have greater choice and control over their lives. Our specialised skill set includes producing highstandard easyread versions of complex documents so that individuals with learning disabilities can understand them. We deliver a range of courses and events, including inhouse training, the annual conference and meetingroom hire in Cardiff, to meet the professional development needs of our members.

We provide flexible meeting facilities that can accommodate up to 20 people, ensuring suitable spaces for training, conferences and other gatherings. We are committed to transparency and accountability, as demonstrated by our regular annual reports and open communication with stakeholders. Our collaborative approach involves working with crossparty groups, the Welsh Youth Parliament and partner organisations such as Gig Buddies Cymru to drive positive change. We strive continuously to be the best country in the world for people with learning disabilities to live, learn, love and work, reflecting our dedication to client satisfaction and societal impact.
