Belfast's Premier Arts & Culture Venue
Established in 2006, The Black Box has become one of Belfast's most cherished arts venues. Our Grade II listed building in the Cathedral Quarter hosts a diverse programme of live music, theatre, film, comedy, and visual arts. We prioritise accessibility and innovation, ensuring all audiences can engage with the arts. As a not-for-profit organisation, we collaborate with community initiatives and festivals to support emerging artists. Our spaces provide a platform for experimental ideas, fostering Belfast's creative talent. The venue's historical roots date back to 1850, with a legacy of cultural contribution. We offer outreach projects like Gig Buddies and Express Yourself! to promote inclusion. Our membership programme connects arts enthusiasts with exclusive opportunities. Through venue hire services, we support local and international events. Looking ahead, we aim to strengthen our role as a catalyst for Belfast's arts sector.
