Welcome to West Park
West Park is a community of Christians united by faith in Jesus Christ, dedicated to glorifying God through worship, discipleship, and biblical teaching. Established in 1968 as Merridale Church, we relocated to our current site on Connaught Road in the early 1980s after a period of growth and renovation. Our services follow a simple format centered on Bible reading, preaching, and prayer, with a focus on applying Scripture to modern life. We meet weekly for Sunday worship at 11am and 6pm, and Tuesday evening Bible study at 7:45pm. Our beliefs are rooted in the authority of the Bible, the historic Christian creeds, and the 1689 Baptist Confession of Faith.

We practice believer's baptism by immersion and maintain fellowship with like-minded churches while operating as an independent congregation. Our leadership consists of Elders and Deacons, including Minister Andrew Whitehead, who guide the church in accordance with biblical principles. We welcome people from all backgrounds to join our community, whether through regular attendance, open-air evangelism, or participation in our outreach activities. Our mission remains to proclaim God's word and make disciples who reflect Christ's righteousness.

Services
Sunday Services
Our Sunday services feature Bible reading, congregational singing, and expository preaching. We meet at 11am and 6pm to worship God through Word and prayer. The services follow a simple format designed to focus on spiritual growth and community fellowship.
Bible Study
Midweek Bible study sessions occur every Tuesday at 7:45pm. These gatherings focus on in-depth Scripture analysis and prayer. Participants explore biblical themes and their practical applications for modern Christian living through guided discussion and teaching.
Baptism
We practice believer's baptism by full immersion as a public declaration of faith. Baptism services occur regularly following personal profession of faith in Christ. This ordinance symbolizes spiritual rebirth and commitment to Christian discipleship according to New Testament teachings.
Community Outreach
Our outreach includes Wednesday lunchtime evangelism in the city centre and local community engagement. We aim to share the gospel message through practical compassion and open-air preaching. These initiatives connect us with diverse groups across Wolverhampton's urban landscape.
Sermons
Recorded sermons are available online for those unable to attend in person. Our preaching follows systematic Bible exposition, working through books of the Bible or thematic studies. Each message focuses on applying Scripture to contemporary Christian living and spiritual growth.
