Your Voice for Workers' Rights and Community Solidarity in Wolverhampton
Wolverhampton, Bilston & District Trades Union Council (TUC) has been a steadfast advocate for workers' rights and community solidarity since its formation in 1926. Rooted in a century of labor history, we provide a platform for trade unions to collaborate on local, national, and international issues, including workers' rights, social justice, and anti-racism campaigns. Our initiatives span educational workshops, public demonstrations, and partnerships with global solidarity movements, such as the Palestine Solidarity Campaign. We organize monthly delegate meetings, host expert speakers on labor law and economic policy, and support grassroots efforts like the 4-day workweek campaign. Our work is guided by principles of equity, collective action, and historical accountability, as evidenced by our research into the Black Country's connections to slavery and our commemoration of the 1926 General Strike. Through publications, film screenings, and community events, we continue to empower workers and amplify marginalized voices.
