Contemporary Mixed Media Artworks by Tom Cartmill
Based in a rural studio near Reading, I create mixed media artworks and sculptural drawings that explore themes of time, memory and transformation. My practice combines traditional painting techniques with experimental layering processes, inspired by Moorish architectural patterns and the patina of aged surfaces. With over two decades of international exhibition experience including selections at the Royal Academy and Aesthetica Art Prize, my works are held in private and institutional collections across six continents. The studio welcomes visitors by appointment and participates in annual open studio events, offering direct engagement with the creative process behind each piece.
