Venue Hire
Our historic venue offers multiple spaces for hire, including the grand Upstairs Function Room with private bar and dance floor. The Front Room accommodates up to 100 guests for social events, while smaller rooms cater to meetings of 12-15 people. All bookings include access to modern amenities like wireless broadband and feature lighting, with optional DJ or live band setups available.
Function Suites
Two dedicated function suites provide versatile event solutions. The Upstairs Function Room features a curved glass bay window overlooking Scotland's most famous monkey puzzle tree, seating 50 boardroom-style. The Front Room offers flexible configurations for weddings, fundraisers, and corporate events, with separate buffet areas and soundproof doors for privacy during celebrations.
Snooker Rooms
Three full-sized snooker tables are available in purpose-built rooms. Two tables occupy the John Chapman Snooker Room on the top floor, while a private room houses the third. All tables receive regular maintenance to ensure professional playing conditions, complemented by traditional sports bar amenities including dart boards and plasma screens for live sports viewing.
Meeting Rooms
The first-floor boardroom provides a professional setting for business meetings, comfortably seating 12-15 participants. For larger groups, the TV Room and Committee Room combination offers flexible workspace accommodating up to 15 people with modern technical support including wireless internet access and presentation equipment connections.

Three distinct bar areas serve different purposes: The Alex Cowie Bar features a sports theme with pool table and plasma screen; The Front Room operates as a social hub with traditional decor; The Upstairs Function Room includes a fully stocked private bar with draught beer and wines.
