Norwich Citadel Band - Worship & Community in Norwich
Established in 1882 following General William Booth's visit to Norwich, we are a Salvation Army band with over 140 years of musical and spiritual heritage. Our mission combines worship through brass band performances with active community engagement, including civic events, cathedral services, and international outreach. As part of The Salvation Army (Charity No. 214779), we maintain a thriving corps of over 350 members while operating modern facilities for worship, elderly care, and social rehabilitation.

Our historical significance is underscored by global performances at venues like London's Royal Albert Hall and Cape Town's University Concert Hall. The band continues General Booth's vision of 'rousing Norwich' through music, with recordings distributed to quarter of a million listeners via partnerships like The People's Friend magazine.
