Cambridge University Boat Club - Rowing Excellence Since 1828
Established in 1828, Cambridge University Boat Club has been at the forefront of competitive rowing for nearly two centuries. Our unification in 2020 of men's, women's, and lightweight crews has strengthened our commitment to excellence, inclusivity, and academic achievement. With a legacy of 184 Boat Race victories, we combine rigorous athletic training with the intellectual rigor of Cambridge University. Our state-of-the-art facilities at Goldie Boathouse and Ely Boathouse support student-athletes in achieving both sporting and academic excellence.

Governed by a board including student representatives, we maintain charitable status while upholding traditions of respect and teamwork. Our athletes consistently break records, with recent Tideway course records in 2025, while maintaining academic performance above university averages. Through community initiatives like Pulling Together, we foster lifelong bonds between current athletes and our extensive alumni network. Our mission remains clear: to equip student-athletes to win boat races while prioritising wellbeing and equal opportunity for all.
