Services
Sunday Worship
Our weekly Sunday worship gatherings begin at 10:45am in our historic Hall Street church building. Services feature congregational singing, biblical teaching, and opportunities for prayer and reflection. The third Sunday of each month includes a special Communion service where we remember Jesus' sacrifice through shared bread and wine. Our services are led by members of our fellowship and visiting ministers, creating a warm, participatory atmosphere that welcomes all ages and backgrounds.
Craft Group
This weekly craft group meets every Tuesday morning from 10am to 1pm in our church hall. Designed for creative individuals of all skill levels, it provides materials, refreshments, and a supportive environment for making various craft projects. The small weekly subscription helps cover material costs while fostering social connections through shared creative activities. This intergenerational group combines practical creativity with spiritual fellowship in a relaxed setting.
Senior Moments
Our monthly Senior Moments gathering takes place on the second Friday of each month from 2pm to 4pm. This social group provides refreshments, companionship, and activities specifically tailored for older members of our community. The program creates opportunities for meaningful connections while maintaining the supportive environment that characterises our church family. It reflects our commitment to valuing and engaging all age groups within our congregation.
Room Hire
We offer our church facilities for hire to local community groups during weekday hours. The venue includes accessible spaces suitable for various community activities and events. Our hire policy ensures these spaces support both church-related activities and wider community needs. The building's central location and flexible spaces make it an ideal venue for local organisations seeking affordable, accessible meeting spaces in St Helens town centre.
Safeguarding Support
We maintain comprehensive safeguarding policies to protect all members, particularly children and vulnerable adults. Our approach includes trained personnel, clear reporting procedures, and accessible policy documentation available in church. We follow national Baptist Union guidelines while implementing practical measures that create safe environments for worship and activities. This commitment extends to all our programs and reflects our core value of responsible community care.
