The multi-user, interactive system allows customer orders to be planned on-line and scheduled for manufacture using the optimum manufacturing route. Capacity limitations and other constraints are taken into consideration. The user can simulate loads on-line across multiple production units.

Interactive technical editing routines allow any non-standard product to be included in the manufacturing plan through a Contract Review facility and full QA support.

Comprehensive warehouse management facilities are available, covering both space and stock management. The stock management routines provide full stock analysis by a wide range of criteria, including age, location, customer, supplier. The system also provides full stock visibility to users to assist in planning and in responding to customer enquiries. Full Batch Traceability and Costing routines are inherent features of MARPACS.

The MARPACS sales suite supports the complete sales cycle: preparing quotations, cost estimating, order entry, despatch, invoicing, cash posting, raising statements and providing sales analyses. MARPACS also has facilities for automatic data capture, incorporating Auto ID methodologies (such as bar codes, magnetic stripes, transponders), PLC interfaces, machine monitoring devices, etc. The MARPACS system can support special activities such as consignment stocks, JIT (Just-in Time) manufacture and supply, etc.

A number of additional applications are available, including accounts, fixed assets and non-production purchasing, plus other applications such as contact management and personnel. The system also contains utilities for interfacing MARPACS to third party software if required. A utility is available to prepare a wide range of documentation, such as Customer Documents, Export documents, Test certificates.

All of the functionality of MARPACS makes use of a single database system that provides one point of reference about an organisation for all members. The extensive reporting facilities within MARPACS assist companies to assess and analyse the performance of their businesses; and the information available from MARPACS can assist and support managers in their decision making.
