Our outdoor environment is an integral part of life at Ashton House and it is cherished within our little learning community. Our children explore outdoors every day from babies…

Family owned and run since 1988, we are driven by a passion and vision for outdoor childcare.

Children are happiest and healthiest within the fresh air of our extensive natural environments, where they are free to connect to nature and to take risks, developing their resilience, self-belief and character.

We are hugely passionate about providing a special place where children can create positive memories that they can cherish for a lifetime.

Forest school sessions are run in our on-site woodlands as part of daily life and we are proud to be one of a minority of UK providers to be accredited by the Forest School Association (FSA).

The spectacular surroundings of our two sites at Ashton Hayes, near Chester and Frodsham are unrivaled, providing substantial natural space where our children thrive.

We feel proud of every child who is privileged to experience the Ashton House Way.

Outdoor learning is at the heart of everything we do at Ashton House, providing every child with the freedom to connect to nature and learn more about the world around them, taking risks and testing out their ideas through authentic ‘hands on’ experiences.

Our children thrive and develop a strong sense of character, determined and able to face the challenges that await them with resilience and kindness, compassion, appreciation and courage.

A key part of our culture is to encourage children to learn to ride a bike and all staff show a great willingness to support this.

Balance bikes help the children to gain greater balance, coordination, spatial awareness and the skills and confidence to progress onto a pedal bike without the need for stabilisers.
