At The Village Day Nursery, we know that children learn best when they’re having lots of fun! As a result, we’ve created an environment where they can do just that.
We pride ourselves on providing a wonderful safe, secure and stimulating environment where children can develop into confident, independent learners through their play. We give children an exciting start to their education by basing our activities around their likes and interests. Our team believe in giving children super exciting, fun experiences every day – encouraging their natural curiosity and as a result turning them into happy, confident little learners!

Physical activities both outdoors and indoors are a big part of each day at our nursery.
Each age group at our lovely setting has access to their very own spacious outdoor area filled with lots of activities that will aid both their physical and emotional development! Our amazing outdoor spaces has plenty of exciting features including a mud kitchen, planting area and much much more.
Trips out into the local community are very much part of the nursery experience at The Village. Whether it’s going on a bug hunt and exploring the huge natural meadow next door to the nursery; the local park for a play on the swings or a walk with our buggies to the marina and canal to see the local boats and feed the ducks, you’ll regularly see us out an about having fun.
Delicious healthy food
Our carefully planned menus are designed to make sure our children receive a nutritious balanced meal every day.
Our menus run on a four-week cycle offering a different range of meals each week, so that your child has the varied diet required to help them develop their tastes and make healthy choices in the future.
We serve delicious meals inspired by a variety of different cultures. As a result, our children get to discover an exciting range of tastes, smells and textures. By keeping our menus interesting we aim to teach our children that trying new food is exciting, not scary, and that healthy ingredients can be transformed into something amazing!
Working together with you
We work hard to build strong relationships with our parents to help give our children the best possible start. One of the ways we do this is by giving you access to your child’s very own online learning journal. This easy-to-use resource gives you valuable insights into your child’s learning and development journey through nursery. Equally as important, we’re always available for daily chats about your little one’s progress, we also have regular parent’s evenings and welcome your input from home which can help us build your child’s learning around their interests.
